Solvent cement connection( connection for small diameter PVC-U pipes)
Cut: Cut the pipe vertically by the requirement length, then the chamfer.
Smear: Apply solvent cement to the outside of the pipe end.
Insert: Axis alignment of socket and plug socket mouth, insert pipe socket to the required depth.
Keep: Remain fixed so that the adhesive solidification after insert. Keep it 2 minutes
and wipe the rest adhesive.
Terminate: Avoid external forces in 15 minutes. After 48 hours we can test and use.
2 installation instruction
1) Had better use pvc-u drinking water adhesive. Because pvc-u drinking water adhesive
Doesn’t contain any toxic substances. It can ensure drinking water safe.
2)Smear the adhesive in appropriate amount. Too much adhesive will corrode the pipes and reduce the
pressure- resistant properties.
pipe cleaning: use dish cloth to clean the matter of the external socket.
Mark the depth line in the insertion.
Install rubble ,lubrication: inside the groove of the CZPT seal into socket. In order to convenient installation,
we can wet the rubber ring first and paint lubricants at the end of the pin and CZPT seal.
I nsert pipe: alignment the 2 pipes, then insert the socket to the standard position.
Check whether the installation of the CZPT ring is normal.
2 Installation Instruction
Insert should be along with the pipe axis. Avoid knocking with hammers.
Insert by hand for the pipe of which diameter is under 100mm. Insert with equipment for the pipe
of which diameter is above 100mm.
Instructions for usingpvc-u water supply pipe adhesive
PVC Solvent Cement is mono-component solvent glue with vinyl polymer as main material and is
special adhesive for bonding hard PVC. When PVC-U product surface coated with adhesive, it will swell.
If seal with another pvc product,it can make the surface of pvc molecular produce mutual soluble adhesion
effect. After being solvent evaporation, the junction surface will adhesive together. This is the principle of
the pipe connection.
The effect of the adhesive joint has a close relationship with the construction condition.
a.Ensure the joint surface to be dry, clean and oil-free. Otherwise the adhesive strength will reduce.
b.Press on the adhesive face will improve the adhesive strength.
c.Adhesive strength increase with time. ix place in 5-10 minutes, have intensity in 2-3 hours, reach
usage intensity after 24 hours.
d. when the temperature is higher, adhesive solvent evaporation speed fast. The adhesive strength
also increase fast. It is the opposite when the temperature is low. So for bonding construction of large
diameter pipes, adhesive and socket connection speed should be fast, in order to avoid the splice
adhesive has dried up.
The amount of the adhesive will affect the bonding quality of the pipes. The less usage of adhesive
will cause the adhesive incomplete and leakage. Too much will cause solvent evaporation slow and
even the compression performance reduce. For PVC adhesive is pvc strong solvent, the excess adhesive
flowing into pipes will cause 2 aspects influence: One is to cause serious corrosion, resulting the
pipe rupture in the process of test the water or usage. The second is that it will form certain water
resistance in the pipe.
The solvent of the water supply pipe adhesive is the flammable volatile organic solvent. Pay attention
to fire prevention methods in storage and usage.
